How to become a seller on Begum?
- Visit our seller onboarding page and provide the required information. We initially require information including the sellerβs business details, contact information, product categories, and banking information for receiving payments.Β
- Please carefully read and understand Begum's terms and conditions before registration.
What information and documents are required to register as a seller?
- Govt. Issued IDβs copy (National ID/ Passport/ Driving License)
- Business License copy
- Tax Certificate
- Bank account details
- Sellers can take pictures of these documents and upload them in our seller onboarding portal, our team will conduct seller verification process and approve onboarding application accordingly.
Are there any fees associated with selling on Begum?
- Begum platform typically charges 9.5% of total selling amount as commission (before VAT), while registration is completely free (seller verification is required). However, a payment processing fee will be applied when PayPal is your preferred payment method (as per payment structure of PayPal).Β
How does the seller payout process work?
Step 1: Customer places order and makes payment via debit/credit card, PayPal, Google Wallet, Apple Pay, Union Pay or other digital walletΒ Β
Step 2: The paid amount is temporarily deposited to Begumβs bank account, seller will receive notification about order amount in this stage StepΒ
Step 3: After a pre-determined timeframe or after the seller's successful delivery, Begum automatically deducts 9.5% commission and transfers the remaining amount to the sellerβs bank account. There is a minimum amount threshold before making deposits to the sellerβs bank account.Β
What types of products can I sell on Begum?
- Begum is a dedicated marketplace only for jewellery. As long your item belongs to jewellery category, you are welcome to join Begum to sell your product.
- Our key jewellery types include ring, necklace, earring, bracelet, armlet, ear cuff, nose pin, nose ring, anklet, toe ring, pendant, belly button ring, assorted jewellery set and more.
How long can I keep my product listed on Begum?
- Our policy usually allows you to keep your product listed until it's sold. However, when it comes to resetting Begum stores, product listing validity can be four months.
